TRICROLYTE® IV

Trivalent Chromium Plating Process

The TRICROLYTE trivalent chromium plating process provides an environmentally-acceptable alternative to hexavalent chromium plating methods It meets OSHA regulations, as well as effluent discharge requirements of most municipal water authorities. Waste treatment and disposal costs are reduced because the process uses no hexavalent chrome, no additives with strong oxidants, and has a low metal concentration.

TRICROLYTE's trivalent chromium process will finish 50 to 100% more parts per rack than hexavalent baths and conventional chromium processes. Quality is excellent because whitewash, burning and other rejects due to poor coverage are eliminated. The TRICROLYTE process also deposits a uniform surface finish on workpieces with complex shapes and recessed areas.

TRICROLYTE trivalent chrome can be used to finish a broad range of workpieces. These include wire display racks and shelving, appliance hardware, lawn and garden equipment, and one-piece aluminum wheels for the automotive aftermarket. Manufacturers of tubular furniture and exercise equipment have specified TRICROLYTE trivalent chrome because it allows assemblies to be chrome plated after welding, thereby producing a more attractive end product.
